Hi,
I came across a wiki once with a button in the corner that said, "download this wiki" and it would generate static html for the entire wiki that could be used to make local copies. It wasn't wikipedia. Anyone know of a wiki engine that has this feature? Also, is there a wiki-discussion email list or other forum where I might ask this question?

Re: wiki with downloadable, static pages
Fri, January 20, 2006 - 5:00 AM- I think MoinMoin has a Download this Wiki link
- You could try uniwakka which can also be edited in OpenOffice
- You could try writing using Drupal "stories" especially in Drupal 4.7. a wiki module would add the extra functionality. Exports/ downloads are with DocBook XML & OPML. These are open formats.
- QuickNotes and TiddlyWiki can all be shown as one long page & therefore easily saveable
